Kachia LG Chairman Distributes ₦12m Christmas Palliative to Residents

Residents of Kachia Local Government Area have received a major economic boost as the Executive Chairman, Hon. Dr. Manzo Daniel Maigari, facilitated the distribution of ₦12 million in cash support to vulnerable citizens.

The support, provided as a Christmas palliative by Kaduna State Governor, Senator Uba Sani, CON, benefitted 120 residents, each of whom received ₦100,000 across the 12 political wards of the local government. The distribution exercise was held on Wednesday, December 31, 2025, at the Kachia Local Government Secretariat, Kachia.
Addressing beneficiaries at the event, Hon. Dr. Manzo Maigari explained that the intervention reflects the governor’s strong commitment to easing economic pressure on ordinary citizens and strengthening grassroots welfare systems. He described the initiative as timely and impactful, noting that many beneficiaries had never received such direct government support before.
The exercise was overseen by the Kaduna State Head of Service, Mrs. Jummai Bako Tella, and attended by the APC Chairman in Kachia LGA, Hon. Engr. Engr Sanusi Jibrin, councillors, local government officials, party leaders, and other political stakeholders.

According to the chairman, the cash support initiative represents a significant step in the shared vision of the state and local governments to improve living conditions at the community level.
Several beneficiaries expressed appreciation to the Kaduna State Government and the Kachia Local Government leadership, offering prayers for Governor Uba Sani’s continued health and success in office.

Hon. Dr. Manzo Maigari reaffirmed his resolve to continue partnering with the state government to deliver inclusive and people-centered governance to all communities within Kachia Local Government Area.

THE NATIONAL YOUTH WING OF SOKAPU CONDEMN THE STATEMENT MADE BY BASHIR EL RUFAI.

Sokapu youth wing under the leadership of Barr. Jerry Mendous Maikano condemns in strong terms the statements made by Bashir El-Rufai on X suggesting that the killings in southern kaduna will linger if the residents continue to attack herdsmen. This is coming at a time when the region is battling on all angles to remain peaceful and law-abiding even with the persistent kidnapping and killing of its innocent citizens.  We call on security agencies to properly investigate the statement as such should not be treated with kind gloves. We as a matter of security concern demand an immediate apology and retraction of that statement. As failure to do so may impede the peace efforts being put in place by the federal and State government respectively. We equally call on all southern kaduna youths to remain peaceful and law-abiding and refrain from making statements of this nature.
