SPECIAL ASSISTANT TO THE GOVERNOR OF KADUNA STATE ON NGOs, MEETS WITH THE CIVIL SOCIETY COALITION FOR GENDER BASE VIOLENCE.


A Seven man team of the Civil Society Coalition for Gender Base Violence, led by the Chairman Barrister Bukola Ajao, paid a courtesy visit to the SA on NGOs to the Governor of Kaduna State Hon Sakina Garba in her office today at the Kaduna State Government House.
The Chairman who introduced her team members, stated that the organization is an NGO and an umbrella for most Civil Society Organizations in Kaduna State. She added that the Coalition has different technical working groups, such that they leverage on their strength.
She declared that the goal of the Organization is to achieve Zero gender base violence.
She informed the SA, that the purpose of their coming was for familiarization, and futuristic collaborative partnership.
The SA Hon. Sakina Garba in her response, welcomed to the group to the Kaduna State Government House and informed them that the essence of creation of the office of the SA on NGOs was to build the bridge between the State Actors and the CSOs. She made very relevant remarks on their presentation and plight, and gave recommendations for possible consideration.
The SA, finally assured the team of Kaduna State Government’s willingness to support the CSOs.
