Conference of State Youth Parliament Speakers of Nigeria Elect New Leaders.

It will be recorded that on the 6th of October 2023, the leadership of the State Youth Parliament Speakers of Nigeria elected new officials to oversee the affairs of the conference.

The election had Rt. Hon. Osawemwenhio Uwagboe, Speaker of Edo State Youth Parliament, was elected as the Chairman of the Conference of State Youth Parliament Speakers of Nigeria, alongside other executives.

Subsequently, other positions were uncontested, and after due consultation and consideration, we hereby, through this communique, announce the various positions and the elected speakers.

They are:

Rt. Hon. Muhammed-Amin Jibril: Speaker of Gombe State Youth Parliament - As Treasurer.

Rt. Hon. Fawole Opeyemi Israel: Speaker of Oyo State Youth Parliament - As General Secretary.

Rt. Hon. AM. Dan_Maliki: Speaker of Taraba State Youth Parliament - As Assistant General Secretary.

This election stands as a testament to the determination of youth to participate and contribute to shaping the nation's future.

The executives will chart a new course that resonates with the dreams and aspirations of the youth, embodying a brighter, inclusive future in Nigeria.

THE NATIONAL YOUTH WING OF SOKAPU CONDEMN THE STATEMENT MADE BY BASHIR EL RUFAI.

Sokapu youth wing under the leadership of Barr. Jerry Mendous Maikano condemns in strong terms the statements made by Bashir El-Rufai on X suggesting that the killings in southern kaduna will linger if the residents continue to attack herdsmen. This is coming at a time when the region is battling on all angles to remain peaceful and law-abiding even with the persistent kidnapping and killing of its innocent citizens.  We call on security agencies to properly investigate the statement as such should not be treated with kind gloves. We as a matter of security concern demand an immediate apology and retraction of that statement. As failure to do so may impede the peace efforts being put in place by the federal and State government respectively. We equally call on all southern kaduna youths to remain peaceful and law-abiding and refrain from making statements of this nature.
