Kaduna Tribunal Verdict: Unequivocal Affirmation Of The Uba Sani’s Popular Mandate And The Ashiru Kudan’s Desperation For Power. By: Amb. Ishak Msani.
Sometimes around March 2023 shortly after the Gubernatorial elections, I highlighted in my Article titled '‘on the subjectivity of Kaduna PDP’s Desperation for Power and the Uba Sani's sustain kaduna'’… as published in March 2023.
Events of the last 7 days necessitated this a recap. Because history has repeat itself as every Kaduna patriot is pleased on how the electorates across the 23 local government areas spoke with one voice and rejected the self-centered PDP’s fanatics who believe that they can win the Gubernatorial election with outdated propaganda, lies, deceits and mawkishness. Currently, the verdict favors the people’s governor!
It’s on record that Gov. Uba Sani has paid the price for so many years and now it’s the time to support his efforts and the majority of the Kaduna electorates are solidly behind his landslide victory. His administration has come to stay and there’s nothing, absolutely nothing any opposition can do about it. The masses have spoken loud and clear, the whole world have heard their voices through the ballot and the current verdict stands.
As a consequence of the events of the recent tribunal verdict, Kaduna Election Tribunal’s affirmation of incumbent Governor Uba Sani’s electoral victory and opposition PDP’s post-verdict propaganda has continued to generate continuous debate which I am constrained to say that, the Kaduna state opposition, represented by Kudan, his followers and mischief makers, have lost control of their senses yet again by the recent judgement in favor of Gov. Uba Sani.
The PDP’s buried manipulations, convoluted intrigues, uninhibited desperation for power in Kaduna are getting very exasperating to say the less and they are trying to push the good people of our dear state towards an uncalled post-election muddle.
Since the PDP had challengeded the outcome in court and failed woefully, it is interesting as Gov Uba Sani extends a hand of friendship, partnership and mutual understanding towards the realisation of the sustain kaduna of which the PDP need not a rethink to accept this unprecedented political gesture in the overall interest of our beloved kaduna.
Unfortunately, it’s mystifying to see that those contesting the results want to be in the court and on the conventional and non-conventional media especially the social media streets at the same time, fuelling the sparks of falsehoods as well as peddling misleading judgement narratives through some compromised social media agents should detract from such. It expanses to inciting public nuisance after elections and court verdict.
And if they (PDP) must appeal, they should state their case with respect, dignity and decorum that is what democracy and the rule of law is all about. Uba Sani’s doggedness and commitment to fighting for democracy, fundamental rights and freedoms under the guidance and mentorship of, late Chief Gani Fawehinmi, SAN, GCON, Chief MKO Abiola, GCFR, Dr Beko Ransome Kuti and Chima is a testimony of his absolute commitment to the rule of law. Some win and some lose.
And those who are at the losing end should rather join forces with the Governor to move the state forward and not igniting fake news and propaganda at a time like this which is pointless because the good people of Kaduna have already made their choice. But they should have a rethink!
To sustain the peace and unity of the state is fundamental pre-requisite to growth, prosperity and continue to support the sustain manifesto, charting the path to harmony and progressive drive of Uba Sani beyond 100 days.
The signals are extremely good for the administration of Mal Uba Sani and, hence the need to keep exercising strategic focus, reflect temperance and diversify course positively, it is also clear that our state shall continue to find itself in a more greater limelight between the forces of Uba Sani’s light and prosperity agenda, the likes of which he had been sustaining the good policies and making amend the challenging policies of the previous administration that Kaduna state is proud of.
Be rest assured that the SUSTAIN manifesto which is people oriented, tangible and measurable centered on Safety and Security, Upgrade of Infrastructure, Strengthening institutions, Trade and Investment, Agriculture, Investment in Human Capital and Nurturing Citizens Engagement has come to stay for the goodness of our dear Kaduna state.
However, if the good people of Kaduna state continue to support and believe in the incoming administration, the Governor is expected to remain committed to reinforcing human capital by investing in education, healthcare and social welfare; institute a good governance system that is founded on a competent and responsive public service.
Fostering security; maintain, rebuild and expand urban and rural Infrastructure (including water supply, electricity and road networks) to accelerate economic growth that will create jobs, jobs and more jobs; promote agriculture and food security and reform land administration as a basis for wealth creation and capital formation, while preserving and enhancing environmental management.
Sen. Uba Sani pledges to work with well-meaning citizens of Kaduna State to make our dear state a model of development and good governance in Nigeria as a testimony to the resourcefulness and commitment of all.
To this end, let this serve as a timely beyond the 100 days journey. Kaduna state cannot be a punching bag for mischief makers forever and soon enough we have started seeing and witnessing massive improvement and sustainability in governance.
Trust me when I tell you that Gov. Mal Uba Sani is the best to happen in Kaduna state after Governor Elrufai, and there are many concrete realities of carrying everyone along towards inclusiveness, good governance, transparency/accountability and open government partnership in this administration is also sustaining Kaduna.
Gov. Uba Sani shall make this state even more greater as the progress continues..
