IMO GUBER: IMOLITES IN DIASPORA CALL FOR SUPPORT FOR GOVERNOR HOPE UZODIMMA.

A group of Imolites in UK in a news conference held on Monday 23, 2023 called for support for the re-election bid of Governor Hope Uzodimma in the coming November 11, 2023 governorship election in the state. The leader of the group, Mr. Uche Nwosu in his address took time to analyse the performance of Governor Hope Uzodimma since assumption of office. He alluded to the fact that Governor Hope Uzodimma should be regarded as the father and founder of modern Imo State with his developmental stride in the last close to four years. He hinted that Imolites in the diaspora have been following the governor overtime and can confidently refer to his as the best governor Imo State ever had. He added that many of them have been visiting home from time to time and the kind of transformation and development being witnessed in the state presently is similar to those in advance countries nothing that this must be allowed to continue.

According to the leader of the group, Mr. Uche Nwosu who is from Imo West local government of the state, he pointed out that his local government is a good example of why Governor Hope Uzodimma should continue. He added that beyond any other governor in the state, Governor Hope Uzodimma has transformed the economic, infrastructural and social fortune of the local government to one that can complete with any other local government in any part of the country and beyond.

In his words, "for record purpose, many of us here belong to no political party and we are likely not ready to belong. All we are looking for is seeing an Imo State that we could be proud of. We are only concerned about our people back him not calling us for urgent financial assistance. We are expecting to see a state where our people back home are secured and no issue of security threat occasioned by unknown gunmen. We just want to see our state working in all ramifications"

"All the above are what we have seen Governor Hope Uzodimma doing and doing very well with all sincerity across senatorial divides in the state. His administration is fair, just and even in the distribution of resources and development across board. We all know that Imo State suddenly became a state of security threat as a point in time but all thanks to the proactive administration of Governor Hope Uzodimma who quickly came to the rescue of the people with support from the federal government."

Mr. Uche Nwosu on a final note called on Imolites at home to make sure they voted massively to return Governor Hope Uzodimma for the continuity of his good work adding that they must not allow fake and unrealistic promises to take away the development and progress Imo State is presently enjoying under the leadership of Governor Hope Uzodimma.
