MINISTERIAL SLOT: APC WOMEN GROUPS PLEADED WITH PRESIDENT BOLA AHMED TINUBU TO CONSIDER SOUTHERN KADUNA.

Group under the auspices of Coalition of APC Women in Kaduna State has appealed to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu to consider Dr. Abdulmalik Mohammed Durunguwa as Nasir Elrufai’s replacement for fairness, equity, justice and inclusiveness. 

The group in a Media Press briefing on Wednesday in Kaduna by its Coordinator Comrade Rahila Emmanuel said they have come to plead with the President to consider Dr. Durunguwa as Elrufai’s replacement who is the most qualify candidate for the job.

”Gentlemen of the press, we the Coalition of APC Women Groups in Kaduna and in extension the generality of Kaduna Women appealing to President Ahmed Bola Tinubu GCFR to nominate a ministerial slot from Southern Kaduna as Mal. Nasir el-Rufai’s replacement if he will not be confirmed for inclusiveness".

Your Excellency Sir, nobody from the Southern Kaduna region had been made a minister under the APC administration since 2015.

According to them, Dr. remains the greatest contributors and mobilizers that brought the APC-led government to power in Kaduna state, stressing such individuals deserve to be rewarded with a bigger responsibility.

“Since the return of Democracy in 1999, there has been a gentlemanly agreement, when the office of the Governor goes to zone one, naturally, the deputy governorship position and Minister should go to Zone 2nd or 3rd Senatorial zones to ensure that all the 3 Senatorial zones be fully represented at both the state and the Federation”.

They lamented on how the Southern Kaduna region has been overlooked and neglected in the allocation of ministerial positions under the ruling party since 2015 despite the countless contributions made by the APC members in the region.

Southern Kaduna had rich cultural, vibrant communities with untapped potential, noting that it deserves representation at the Federal level.

“We want to make a passionate appeal to our Father President Bola Ahmed Tinubu GCFR to appoint credible and competent Nigerians into his cabinet as Minister of which Dr. Abdulmalik Durunguwa possesses such qualities, Dr. Abdulmalik Durunguwa is from Ladduga, Agunu Ward of Kachia LGA, Kaduna-South, who was appointed by President Muhammadu Buhari as the Federal Commissioner of National Population Commission”.

According to them, Dr. Durunguwa is an outstanding Nigerian with an unrivaled track record who has demonstrated patriotism and excellence in his leadership. He has helped APC sustained victory since 2015 till date, he deserves a bigger assignment for some level of patronage in the Tinubu-led new government. 

For fairness and justice, every member who has contributed towards the party’s victory has an inherent right to hope for a bigger platform to explore to sustain the party’s victory they formed.

The group further noted that they are coming together to make this appeal is not based on a political party but rooted in the realism that they’re stronger together if the Ruling Party wants to maintain its position to enthrone an inclusive leadership that will secure and unite Nigerians.

“Dr. Abdulmalik Durunguwa is an astute academician, civilized and morally oriented seasoned administrator with the requisite experience and strength of character to pilot the affairs of any office in Nigeria having served as the first Executive Secretary of the Kaduna State Emergency Management (SEMA) under the Governor Ahmed Makarfi, Lecturer, 2019 House of Reps Aspirant for Kachia Kagargo Federal Constituency and 2023 APC Gubernatorial Aspirant”.

“He has held so many positions before his appointment as the Federal Commissioner of National Population Commission by the Buhari Administration and he has performed exceptionally well, no doubt he is an achiever, he has the requisite credentials to occupy the ministerial office or any Federal Agency for the party to sustain its victory and patronage beyond 2027”.

Dr. Abdulmalik Durunguwa is from a region that has been neglected for ministerial appointment under the APC administration in the state since 2015.

Comrade Rahila Emmanuel maintained that the present administration of His Excellency Ahmed Bola Tinubu RENEWED HOPE agenda had shown signs of being a people’s-oriented Government of inclusivity, fairness, equity and justice, and we are pleading that Mr. President should consider Dr. Abdulmalik Durunguwa from the Southern Kaduna as minister of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.

We are confident that Dr. Abdullmalik Durunguwa has the well-with-all to pilot the affairs of any ministry if appointed.

"While urging H.E President Bola Ahmed Tinubu to consider appointing Dr. Abdullmalik Durunguwa as minister of the federal republic of Nigeria, we are also appealing to H. E the Governor of Kaduna State Senator Uba Sani to support this noble call by forwarding Dr. Abdullmlik Durunguwa’s nomination to the President for considerations”.
