GOVERNOR UBA SANI; RE-DEFINING THE CONCEPT OF LEADERSHIP. By - Yusuf Usman Garba Kachia.

Since the governor of kaduna state, His Excellency, Senator Malam Uba Sani assumed the mantle of leadership, he wasted no time in hitting the ground running. Considering the nature of time as whimsical and finite, and understanding the enormity of the task ahead, he quickly formed his cabinet and appointing principal officers. Judging from the calibre of the people he nominated to work with him, he left no one in doubt as to his determination of blazing the trail of continuity, while designing a strategic blueprints of development on the trajectory of his immense capacity to deliver on his campaign promises, while applying the principles of decide and commit. 

With exceptional humility, confidence and sagacity, Malam Uba Sani demonstrates to the people of Kaduna state that he is just in government for influence and perquisites of political office, but one with the fervent desire to build on the foundation ably laid by his predecessor , Malam Nasiru Ahmad El-rufai while also making his own innovations to stamp his on the sands of time. 

Remarkably, we have witnessed a system where new governments easily abandon ideas of their predecessors, despite the viability of such ideas. For once, we see a clear departure from such retrogressive attitude. Malam Uba Sani demonstrate exemplary example by maintaining the great ideas and projects of the previous government, while presenting his own agenda for accelerated development of Kaduna state. 

Expectedly, less than 100 days in office, he has rolled out his masterplan of rapid development across all critical sectors which include education and making it affordable through the epochal subsidizing the tuition fees of tertiary institutions, revamping the agricultural development, health care improvement, enhancing the capacity of security agencies of the state by providing operational enablers to improve their maneuverability, the proposed improvement of the civil servants welfare in order to effectively perform their statutory responsibilities, activating engagement windows for effective management of criminal activities in any guise with relevant stake holders including the service chiefs.

The engagement with the security chiefs were not only meant to encourage investment, but to also protect lives and properties from menacing grip of criminal elements and arbitrate with troubles prone communties. 

As a political juggernaut and gentleman whose life has offered unalloyed loyalty and support to other people, equity demands the entire state should rally round him with equal measure of loyalty and support to make his tenure a good success.
